This northern Wisconsin area abounds in things to see and do all year long.  We are located adjacent to Glidden, Wisconsin and within easy driving distance of Cable, Hayward, Ashland, Mellen, Park Fallls and Ironwood, Michigan.  Glidden offers the historic Marion Park which is within walking distance from the Pond Cabin.  The Park pavillion was built in 1936, has hardwood flooring and has been used for skating and dances.  Events take place there on Father's Day, July 4th and Labor Day weekend, and is available for private events.  The Park offers a fenced-in children's playground and free camping.  Glidden is known as the Black Bear Capital of the World due to a record being set in 1966 when this    pound bear was shot.  The trophy mounted bear can be viewed in down town Glidden.
